Fighting Back

For two years I was on a slide into depression and anxiety. 2015 was a pretty tough year for me – started badly and ended even worse. In the Autumn I had a complete breakdown, couldn't function. I'd lost my father, my business had failed and I was close to financial ruin. All this had pushed me to rock bottom.

I've changed somethings up now. I changed my diet – I try and eat as healthy as I can. I go to the gym and have taken up running. I've got a better job and been promoted. On the surface this all sounds wonderful but everyday is a fight for me and I am still far from normal. I fail as many times as I succeed but i'm on a mission now and won't let myself be distracted from it. I have positive momentum and I am trying my best to keep it going.

My advice to anyone who wants to try to improve their state of mind is to accept the current situation and work out what you need to do to change. Its really hard. It can be done though. I was at the lowest point I have ever been at and am slowly managing to change.
